samadi, are they in the clear? >> hopefully this is the same person, so i'm going to combine the questions. first, i congratulate the person for stopping it. then i would say i'm disappointed your husband is still smoking because that's secondhand smoking and you're still in trouble. but when you quit smoking, you know, you have the nicotine, that's going to be out of your system for a couple weeks or so, so that's the good news. most doctors from medical school, remember the effects of smoking will stay in your system for years. some say for up to 20 years. so the sooner you quit, the better it is. i don't have to, you don't have to be a doctor to know smoking is not good for you. besides lung cancer and heart disease, which will increase it by 25%, bladder cancer is one of the things we see in my practice all the time as a result of blood in the urine and there is a polyp in the blooder and that is not good. put pressure on your husband to put pressure. now. that can change your lives. >> dr. siegel you quit smok
